There are 2 types of full sine wave or pure sine wave inverter.

1. High Frequency Type or Transformerless Type. Manufacture with all electronics components without the big transformer. Higher efficiency, light in weight and less heat.

2. Low Frequency Type with transformer. Able to withstand surge current without damage. More hardy. Produce a lot of heat and require good ventilation.
